Warwickshire County Council proposes to introduce waiting restrictions at the various locations listed below. The reasons for these proposals are given in the Statement of Reasons.

The proposals will be formally advertised on the 12th April 2018.

If you wish to object to any of the proposals then details of how to make an objection are contained within the Public Notice. Objections must be received in writing and the ground in which they are made must be stated. All correspondence will normally be treated as public documents and may be communicated to other persons affected.

WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (B4100 WADE LANE LIGHTHORNE (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURNS) ORDER 2018

The Warwickshire County Council in exercise of their powers under section 1(1) and (2) and 2(1) to (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 hereinafter referred to as “the Act”, and of all other powers them enabling in that behalf, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby making the following Order:-

  • No person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden, cause any vehicle to make a right-hand turn in the lengths of road described in the Schedule below.
  • The Order shall come into operation on the fifteenth day of March, Two thousand and eighteen and may be cited as ‘The Warwickshire County Council (Avon Valley Bowls Club B4100 Wade Lane Lighthorne) (Prohibition of Right Turns) Order 2018.

THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, MARLCLIFF) (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2018

Warwickshire County Council propose to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to impose a 30 mph speed limit on the lengths of road mentioned in the Schedule below and revoke the Warwickshire County Council (Various Roads, Marlcliff) (40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2000.

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan showing the length of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at the Main Reception, Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick, at the Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Elizabeth House Church Street Stratford-upon-Avon Warwickshire CV37 6HX and at the Public Library, Alcester Library Priory Road Globe House Alcester B49 5DZ during usual opening hours.

THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (HENLEY STREET, STRATFORD UPON AVON) (PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2017

The Warwickshire County Council in exercise of its powers under sections 9 and 10 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Experimental Order:-

  1. This Experimental Order shall come into operation on the day of 2 October                 Two thousand and seventeen and may be cited as “The Warwickshire County Council (Henley Street, Stratford upon Avon) (Prohibition of Vehicles) (Experimental) Order 2017”.
  2. Save as provided in Article 3 of this Experimental Order, no person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Henley Street, Stratford upon Avon which extends from a point at its northern end 19 metres south-east of its junction with the kerb-line of the east side of Windsor Street, to its junction with Meer Street.
  3. Nothing in Article 2 of this Experimental Order shall render it unlawful to cause a vehicle to proceed in the length of road to therein if the vehicle is a non-mechanically propelled vehicle being pushed by a pedestrian, or if the vehicle is being used:-

(1) in connection with the carrying out on that length of road of any of the following operations, namely:-

                      (i) the removal of obstructions to traffic

(ii) maintenance, improvement, repair or reconstruction work, and the laying, erection, alteration, or repair in that length of road of any sewer, or any main, pipe or apparatus for the supply of water, gas or electricity, or any telecommunications apparatus as defined in the Telecommunications Act 1984.

        (2) for fire and rescue, police or ambulance purposes;

(3) in the service of a local authority or a water undertaker or sewerage undertaker or the environment agency in pursuance of statutory powers or duties which are being undertaken on that length of road; or.

(4) with the written consent of the Head of Community Services of Warwickshire County Council

  1. A Managing Director of Warwickshire County Council may, if it appears to him or her essential in the interests of the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic, in the interests of providing suitable and adequate on-street parking facilities or for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which any road affected by the Experimental Order runs, after consulting with the Chief Officer of Police, may modify or suspend the operation of this Experimental Order or any provision hereof.
  2. The Council is satisfied that for the purposes of avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the length of road referred to in Article 2 above, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, it is requisite that section 3(1) of the Act should not apply to this Experimental Order.
  3. For the duration of this Experimental Order, the following provisions of ‘The Warwickshire County Council (Henley Street and Meer Street, Stratford upon Avon) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1998’ (as varied) are hereby suspended:-
  • Schedule 2, Item 1 Henley Street.
  1. ‘The Warwickshire County Council (Henley Street, Stratford upon Avon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017 is hereby revoked.

Warwickshire County Council propose to make the above Order, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to change the current 30 mph speed limit on Milcote Road, Welford on Avon, to that length which is described in the Schedule below.
