THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (WARWICK TOWN CENTRE) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2017

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council propose to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to impose a 20 mph speed limit on the full lengths of the roads mentioned in the Schedule 1 and the lengths of road mentioned in Schedule 2 below.

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan (TR9842) showing the length of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at the Main Reception, Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick, at the Warwick District Council, Riverside House, Milverton Hill, Leamington Spa, CV32 5HZ and at the Public Library, Shire Hall, Market Square, Warwick during usual opening hours.

Any objections to the proposals, which must be in writing and specify the grounds on which they are made, should be addressed to Debbie Poynton, Communities Group, PO Box 43, Shire Hall, Warwick, CV34 4SX. (Objections, and the name of the objector, will normally be treated as public information and may be published.) Objections must be sent so as to be received by 30 April 2017.

That length of road from its junction with Cape Road / Northgate in a westerly

direction to a point 15 metres (along channel) north west of its junction with Theatre

Street.

  1. Cape Road

That length of road from its junction with Saltisford / Northgate in a northerly direction

for a distance of 37 metres.

  1. St Johns

That length of road from its junction with Priory Road / Smith Street / St Nicholas

Church Street in a north easterly direction for a distance of 38 metres.

  1. Banbury Road

That length of road from its junction with St Nicholas Church Street in a south

easterly direction for a distance of 14 metres.

  1. West Street

That length of road from its junction with Bowling Green Street in a south westerly

direction to a point 11 metres south west of its junction with Castle Lane.

  1. Friars Street

That length of road from its junction with Bowling Green Street in a south westerly

direction for a distance of 14 metres.

 

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 90G

WARWICK TOWN CENTRE – PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING PRIORY ROAD

Warwickshire County Council propose to install a traffic calming measures as described and in the locations outlined in the Schedule below in Warwick Town Centre.

A copy of the plan (TR10170-01,02) showing the proposed locations of the traffic calming measures and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to install them may be inspected at the Main Reception, Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick; at the Warwick District Council, Riverside House, Milverton Hill, Leamington Spa, CV32 5HZ and at the Public Library, Shire Hall, Warwick during usual opening hours.

PRIORY ROAD BETWEEN NORTHGATE AND COVENTRY ROAD, WARWICK

CONVERSION OF FOOTWAY TO CYCLE TRACK WITH JOINT PEDESTRIAN USE:

Notice of Intention to convert part of a footway into a shared use Footway/Cycle Path.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Warwickshire County Council in exercise of its powers under the Highways Act 1980 Section 65, and of all other enabling powers, proposes to convert a footway to a shared use footway/cycle path with joint pedestrian use: The length of footway is on the North side of Priory Road between its junctions with Northgate and Coventry Road, Warwick; a distance of approximately 490m. The existing Footway will be widened to create a shared use footway/cycle path, with a varying width of between 2.4 and 2.76m over its length. The shared facility is being introduced to extend the existing cycle network in the area and to facilitate an off carriageway provision for cyclists. Any person wishing to comment on this proposal should write to Debbie Poynton, Warwickshire County Council, Traffic and Road Safety, Communities,  PO Box 43, Shire Hall, Warwick CV34 4SX before 30th April 2017 quoting reference No WTC001.
