STATEMENT OF REASONS

1.1 Warwickshire County Council is proposing to reduce the existing 50 mph speed limit on Nuthurst Lane, B4102 Astley Lane, Red Lane, B4102 Park Lane & Windmill Lane, Astley to a 30 mph speed limit. This will provide a buffer on all approaches to the crossroads and reduce vehicle speeds.

1.2 As part of this proposal Warwickshire County Council will formalise the existing 50mph Traffic Regulation Order for Astley.

1.3 The scheme will involve the use of speed reducing traffic signs and road markings.

1.4 New speed limits with reduced vehicle speeds will help improve the environment for residents, pedestrians and cyclists.
