Statement of reason for Bishops Tachbrook

1.1 Warwickshire County Council is proposing to reduce a short section of the existing 30 mph speed limit along the B4087 Oakley Wood Road and introduce a 50 mph speed limit.

1.2 At present the 30 mph speed limit for Bishop’s Tachbrook is positioned away from the entrance to the village and as part of this proposal Warwickshire County Council is proposing to reposition the 30 mph speed limit terminal signs and implement a new gateway feature closer to the village.

1.3 Warwickshire County Council will be revoking the existing 30 mph / 50 mph speed limit orders on the B4087 Oakley Wood Road and Mallory Road and a new speed limit order will be made.

1.4 Improved speed limit signs and features will help improve the environment for residents, pedestrians and cyclists.
