Safer Routes to School Programme 2016/17 The Common, Baddesley Ensor

As part of Warwickshire County Councils programme of works for 2016/17 Safer Routes to Schools, we are proposing a scheme to reduce vehicle speeds on The Common in Baddesely Ensor in order to facilitate making the school journey safer.

The scheme will aim to improve the environment for residents, motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.

The scheme will include the following measures:
• A 20mph speed limit on part of The Common.
• Two additional speed humps.

20mph speed limit: The Common, Maypole Lane and Oakwood Close

The proposed limit will be in addition to the existing 20mph limit which covers Baddesley Ensor village (Keys Hill estate)

The proposed 20mph will include Maypole Lane, Oakwood Close.
The scheme will involve the use of traffic signs, road markings and traffic calming features.

Traffic Calming

The proposed introduction of two additional speed humps on The Common, Baddesley Ensor will enhance the existing traffic calming measures and encourage slower speeds near the school.

A consultation event will be held at Woodside Church of England Primary School, School Hall on Thursday 9th June 3-7pm.
Your views are important to us. Please come along and view the proposals and leave feedback.
