Gaydon – Traffic Regulation Orders & New Road Construction

In conjunction with the on-going construction work for the new dual carriageway road connecting the M40 (Junction 12) with Gaydon, Lighthorne Heath and the Jaguar Land-Rover & Aston Martin motor works, Warwickshire County Council is proposing to make a series of Traffic Regulation Orders relating to vehicle movements on the new carriageway itself and how it ties into the existing road network.

  1. Speed Limits
  2. Prohibition of Motor Vehicles
  3. Turning Movements
  4. Waiting Restrictions

Details of each Traffic Regulation Order and plans showing the proposals are linked in the four sections below.

1. SPEED LIMITS

The Warwickshire County Council (B4100 Banbury Road, B4100 Warwick Road, B4100 Link Road, B4451 Gaydon Road, Gaydon, Bishops Itchington and Lighthorne Heath) (40mph and 50mph Speed Limit and 30mph Speed Limit Variation) Order 2015

The effect of which will be to impose 30mph, 40mph & 50mph speed limits on the lengths of road described in Schedule 1 on the Public Notice (A3) (pdf, 22kB) .

This schedule should be read in conjunction with Plans Ref. TR-9180-001A & 001B (pdf, 772kB) showing the extents of the proposed speed limits, and the Statement of Reasons (Speed Limits) (pdf, 19kB).

 

2. PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES

The Warwickshire County Council (Warwick Road and Gaydon Road, Gaydon) (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) Order 2015

 The effect of which will be to close to all vehicles at all times (subject to the usual exemptions for maintenance and the emergency services etc.) those lengths of Warwick Road, Gaydon (formerly the B4100) and Gaydon Road, Gaydon (formerly the B4451) which are described in Schedule 2 on the Public Notice (A3) (pdf, 22kB).

This schedule should be read in conjunction with Plans Ref. TR-9180-008 & 009 (pdf, 1,079kB) showing the extents of the proposed prohibitions, and the Statement of Reasons (Prohibition of Vehicles) (pdf, 14kB).

 

3. TURNING MOVEMENTS

The Warwickshire County Council (B4451 Gaydon Road and B4100 Banbury Road, Gaydon) (Traffic Regulation) Order 2015

The effect of which will be to impose the turning restrictions which are described in Schedule 3 on the Public Notice (A3) (pdf, 22kB).

This schedule should be read in conjunction with Plans Ref. TR-9180-010 to 012 (pdf, 1,142kB) showing the prescribed and/or prohibited turning movements, and the Statement of Reasons (Turning Movements) (pdf, 15kB).

 

4. WAITING RESTRICTIONS

The Warwickshire County Council (District of Stratford on Avon) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On Street Parking Places and Residents’ Parking) (Consolidation)(Variation No.23) Order 2015

The effect of which will be to impose no waiting at any time restrictions upon those lengths of road which are described in Schedule 4 on the Public Notice (A3) (pdf, 22kB).
