Darlingscott Speed Limit Review – Stratford District: Traffic Projects

Warwickshire County Council has been carrying out a review of village speed limits on rural roads. The review is part of the County Council’s Local Transport Plan, which looks at introducing lower speed limits in villages throughout the County.

It is proposed to reduce the existing speed limit in Darlingscott from 40mph  to a 30mph speed limit through the main part of the village.

The scheme will include speed reducing features such as traffic signs, village gateway features and improvements to road markings.  The new speed limit with reduced vehicle speeds will help improve the environment for residents, pedestrians, cyclists and other vulnerable road users.

For a plan of the proposals, see  Drawing Number: TP7355 (pdf, 378kb.)

For a copy of the Public Notice, see Public Notice (pdf, 12kb.)

If you wish to object to any of the proposals then details of how to make an objection are contained in the public notice.  Objections will normally be treated as public documents and may be communicated to other persons affected.  The objection period ends on the 3rd August 2012.
